Explosion rocks Shri Veer Balaji paper mill
An early morning explosion at the Shri Veer Balaji Paper Mill in Uttar Pradesh on 4 July has tragically resulted in one fatality and injuries to four other workers. The incident, which occurred around 4 am in the factory's dryer section, sent shockwaves through the facility and the local community.

As per media reports in the Hindi dailies, shift in-charge Ankit Sharma, a resident of Sher Nagar, bore the brunt of the blast and tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Four other workers, from Barki, Rasoolpur, Sikheda, and Tigri villages, sustained various injuries and were transported to a private hospital for immediate medical attention. All four injured workers have since been discharged after receiving primary care.
Officials from the New Mandi police station arrived at the scene to manage the situation. Investigations into the exact cause of the dryer explosion are anticipated to commence shortly.
The incident highlights the critical importance of safety protocols in industrial settings and underscores the potential dangers faced by workers in such environments.
