The organiser has announced that the current booking status has already exceeded figure for the same period in 2016. With 1,800 exhibitors from more than 50 nations, Drupa underscores that it is the most relevant and important platform for the global print industry in 2020.

Recently the organiser has published the floorplan for the 2020 show as well as opening the Drupa Ticketshop for purchase of tickets online. There are new services and tools to help visitors plan their trip to Düsseldorf next June.

At the 2020 edition, the organiser is expecting 33% of new exhibitors along the entire value-chain and various cross-cutting technologies. However, there are similarities to the 2016 event, in terms of the floorplan.

HP will continue to stay in the whole of Hall 17. Heidelberg, which was in Hall 1 in 2016 will be situated in the New Hall 1, a 12,000sqm pillar-free space with a 15m clear height that has replaced what were Halls 1 and 2. Alongside Heidelberg will be its partners, Masterwork, Polar and IST Metz.

Other familiar names are Fujifilm, Xerox in Hall 8B while BlueCrest, formerly Pitney Bowes in Hall 8A.

Drupa director Sabine Geldermann, said, "We want to give visitors the opportunity to plan their arrival, departure and stay in Drupacity Düsseldorf at an early stage." She added, “Visitors can find useful information for travel planning on the Drupa website. When they buy an online ticket, they also benefit from reduced admission prices and free access to local public transport in the Rhine-Ruhr and Rein-Sieg transport associations during their stay at the fair.”

In addition, there’s the newly launched, redesigned Drupa App. The organiser claimed it’s an intelligent matchmaking tool. Its algorithm analyzes your search queries and areas of interest and derives personalised suggestions for further exhibitors and visitors. "This matchmaking function enables our visitors to quickly identify exactly those of the expected 1,800 international exhibitors with whom they would like to make contact at the trade fair," explained Geldermann.

The App’s Matchmaking Tool allows the visitor to get in direct contact with exhibitors (or other visitors) and arrange appointments already before the show opens its doors.

There’s more to come, stay in touch, said Geldermann.
