Talking to PrintWeek, Autoprint managing director CN Ashok highlighted that the company saw footfall from 85 countries at their booth, showcasing the reach of attending Drupa.

“One of our new products, the Finecoat 105-Drip Off UV coating machine, received significant attention for its cost-effective design,”  said Ashok.

The company had set a target of signing 12 deals at the show. Until the morning of the eighth day, Autoprint had signed six deals. The secured orders came from existing customers in Costa Rica and Dubai, with the latter placing an especially large three-machine order.

In addition, the company has received over 30 enquiries from prospective agents worldwide interested in selling the Autoprint brand in their respective countries. “We have finalised one agent for Spain,” said Ashok. “We hope to finalise agreements with six additional agents in countries like Spain, Turkey and Nigeria to grow their international sales network further.”

When asked about trends he has seen at the show, Ashok said approximately 90% of visitors to their booth represented the packaging industry. “I see continued growth in mono carton printing and finishing, where we have focused our product lineup.”

While digital printing is expanding, Ashok believes costs must be further reduced for technologies like inkjet to have a broader global impact.
