Digital Photo Album Printer 2015: Sri Sivarama Digital Press (Tie)
Quality Awards |
07 Oct 2015 | By PrintWeek India
This was one category where everyone was a winner, said one of the judges. “Printing lets you create magic. It takes what you know to be true, and makes you look at it from a different perspective. In this case, digital printing has done the trick,” the judge said. The best among the equals in the category were two firms, Mazda Imaging and last year’s winner Sri Sivarama Digital Press.
Sri Sivarama’s Fashion Photo Album, Stylish Photo Album, Star Photo Album and Regular Consumer Photo Album, all were hailed by the judges as “wonderfully put together”. The albums were full of beautifully printed photos dominating the pages. “Our creative graphics team used special filters in Adobe Creative Cloud to enrich the colours and increase colour saturation of the images,” said the company. The judges said the photos look real and candid.
The company used a HP Indigo 7600 seven-colour digital press with raised printing options and a Scodix to give embossed touch, feel and sparkle effect. It printed not more than two of each of the albums.
Sri Sivarama Digital Press was established in 1996 with a Konica silver halide photo printer. Today, the photo album specialist, along with its parent company, Sri Sivaraka Digital Color Lab, is one of the prominent photo printing solution providers in Andhra Pradesh with 150 branches spread across the state.
