DIC India honours its R&D team on Innovation Day

DIC India celebrated its innovation Day on 13 May 2025. The event took place at the Regional Technical Centre and brought together members from its technology and research teams across gravure, offset, flexo, news inks and adhesive technologies.

The industrial inks manufacturer offers printing inks, laminating adhesives, packaging solutions and allied products. 

The Innovation Day was organised to recognise and celebrate the effort of DIC’s R&D teams who continually strive to create the right products for the right markets.

The occasion featured presentations by DIC India’s technologists showcasing the company's latest inventions. Team members spoke about case studies, shared key observations and demonstrated product samples highlighting the progress made in developing solutions tailored to specific market and customer needs.

The highlight of the event was when Adnan Ahmad, independent director, DIC India, spoke about fostering an innovating inspired culture via collaboration. “Innovations need to be focussed on three things — uniqueness, impact and repeatability at scale. It is a collaborative effort and must be aligned with all the stakeholders in the value chain. One must embrace their failure and choose to learn from them,” he said. 

This was the inaugural Innovation Day, and DIC plans to host it annually.
