Datacon Technologies buys Ricoh InfoPrint 4100 CF press

Notching 27th installations of the continuous feed machine since its launch, Ricoh India has confirmed that Bengaluru-based Datacon Technologies has bought the Ricoh InfoPrint 4100 CF press at Pamex 2013.

Speaking on the occasion, J Dileep Kumar of Datacon said, “Print On Demand has tremendous scope in India. In last few years, we have seen the market shifting towards the POD model and therefore, wanted to be prepared to meet the demands of the market.”

Datacon was started in 1998 and since then the company has built its brand as a data management company. In its unit, the company produces over one million forms a day. A majority of these are from government publication forms and other variable data printing jobs. “The facility already houses 25 cut-sheet digital machines, this is our first continuous feed digital production press,” Kumar said.

The 4100 has a maximum printing speed of 2,436ipm, and has an extra wide 19-inch print width which can accommodate 3-up 6x9inch paper.

“The Ricoh 4100 press has already seen many installations across India since its launch. Leading print companies such as Seshasayee, EIH, Repro India, etc have been proud owners of the machine. Datacon is a company that has developed as one of the leading end to end data solution providers in Bengaluru,” said Anjana Saha, national business and marketing manager for production printing business unit at Ricoh India.
