Control Print Italy purchases business assets of V-Shapes

Control Print Italy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Control Print, India’s premier integrated coding and marking solutions provider, has announced the acquisition of the business assets of Italy-based V-Shapes for approximately Euros 3.7-million.

Through this acquisition, Control Print has achieved a series of objectives, ranging from undertaking a high IP-related diversification in the packaging business, to providing sustainable packaging solutions, especially in the critical area of single-dose/single-serve packaging, to serving a global clientele and international diversification.  

V-Shapes has developed significant intellectual property in the area of single-serve packaging with wide-range applicability in the premium and luxury segment, including pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, and food.  

Control Print will retain the entire existing V-Shapes team and maintain the manufacture, design, and development of the packaging technology in Italy.

Control Print’s past acquisitions include an 80% stake in The Netherlands-based Markprint BV that manufactures inline digital printing solutions, through its Dutch Holding Company Control Print BV. The company also announced an acquisition of a majority stake in Codeology Group, a UK-based provider of print and apply systems. 

Additionally, the company has launched QRiousCodes, innovative QR codes-based track and trace solutions. 

Control Print manufactures non-contact and contact-type coding and marking machines based on continuous inkjet, thermal inkjet, thermal transfer and laser printing technology. A pioneer in the coding and marking solutions space, the brand caters to various industries including the likes of food and beverage, pharmaceutical, FMCG, personal care, pipe and plastic, wire and cable, steel and metal, cement, as well as plywood.
