Vadodara-based Concord Printing is poised to set a new benchmark with its planned acquisition of the Manroland R707LV Evolution seven-colour coater press, expected to arrive in January 2026.
Concord Printing’s journey began modestly in the late 1960s with a treadle press in Vadodara’s Ajwa Road, evolving into a formidable force in commercial and packaging printing. The foundation laid by their late father, Majid Memon, with school book printing, has transformed into a modern packaging powerhouse under Kayyum and Arshad’s leadership. Their philosophy remains simple yet profound: never compromise on quality, invest wisely in future-ready technology, and maintain honest, transparent customer relationships.
This philosophy has guided Concord through a series of bold steps, from early Komori, Heidelberg and RMGT press installations to Bobst converting machines, ERP-led workflow integration, and now, the Manroland’s flagship Evolution series – the only press to win the Red Dot Global Award for its advanced design concept.
Concord’s leadership in packaging and print demanded a press that offered more than just speed. It required faster make-readies, quick changeovers, optimal output with top-class consistent print quality, low running costs, and robust after-sales support. As Arshad Memon stated, “The Evolution press is not just another investment. It’s a statement – that Concord will always lead from the front when it comes to quality, technology, and customer satisfaction.”
This installation further solidifies Concord’s position as one of India’s most progressive printing companies. Already renowned for its precision in folding-carton packaging, corrugation expertise, and pan-India reach, Concord is now pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in print and inline value addition.
Kayyum Memon reflects, “Every milestone we achieve is rooted in our father’s vision of serving customers with honesty and quality. This new Manroland press allows us to carry that vision forward – only now, at a scale and precision that matches global standards.”
During his recent visit to India, Mirko (CEO, Manroland Sheetfed GmbH) visited the Memon brothers in Vadodara. His presence underscores the strong partnership and mutual vision shared between Concord Printing and Manroland.
Mirko said, “Concord’s commitment to investing in future-ready technology is exactly the kind of leadership that inspires the global print community. We are proud to support them with the Evolution series."
This agreement reinforces Concord’s philosophy of never compromising on quality, investing in future-ready solutions, and maintaining transparent customer relationships. The Evolution R707LV is expected to increase productivity by up to 50% and will redefine possibilities for Concord’s packaging business, setting a new benchmark for Indian print.
The Halol plant, already equipped with advanced corrugation and converting machines, is now being elevated with the upcoming Manroland Evolution R707LV. With this, Concord Printing is prepared to meet the growing demands in packaging and specialty printing across India and beyond.
