Chennai’s JB Khanna gets India’s first Itotec Robocut

Chennai-based JB Khanna (JBK) Pictures has installed the country’s first Robocut paper-cutter from the Japanese manufacturer, Itotec. Chennai-based Monotech Systems is the Indian representative of the company.

The eRC series of cutting machines from Itotec is known for its reliable mechanism, which is easy to operate and support diverse sizes. The Robocut paper-cutter has a chrome bed finish and an embedded scale in front. With complete centralised lubrication and easy-to-use functions, the machine has a quick knife changing system. The cutting is of high precision and provides more space in the front bed and is designed as a single casting vibration-free body.

JBK Pictures, a photo printing specialist, was established by Jagannath Khanna as a picture trading company in 1957. The family-run business is also one of the pioneers in introducing laminated posters in India.
