The second day of Pamex 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai witnessed a significant milestone for S Kumar-Zonten as the company continued its strong sales momentum.
The deal involves the acquisition of a Zonten seven-colour intermittent offset press, a machine specifically engineered to meet the precision requirements of the label printing sector. This investment is strategically aimed at helping Tanishq Packaging service the escalating demand for high-quality labels within the pesticide, healthcare, and food processing industries, where accuracy and consistency are paramount.
Tanishq Packaging brings fifteen years of expertise in sheetfed offset printing to this new venture. The decision to invest in Zonten technology followed an extensive evaluation process led by Satish Patel, managing director of Tanishq Packaging. Before finalising the order at the S Kumar-Zonten stall, Patel visited several global manufacturers to compare performance benchmarks and service capabilities.
Ultimately, the versatility of the intermittent offset press and the proven reliability of the Zonten platform stood out. Patel noted that the machine's performance during live demonstrations, combined with the comprehensive technical support offered by the S Kumar team, provided the confidence needed to make the transition into specialised label production.
For S Kumar-Zonten, this partnership underscores the growing shift toward offset technology for short- and medium-run label jobs in India. As manufacturers seek to reduce waste and setup times without compromising on the high-resolution output traditional offset provides, the ZTJ series has become a preferred choice for converters looking to diversify their portfolios.
The Pamex 2026 exhibition continues to serve as a fertile ground for such high-value collaborations, reinforcing S Kumar Zonten's position as a key player in the Indian label and packaging landscape. With two more days of the show remaining, the company expects to announce further installations as interest from regional players remains high.
