Bengaluru’s Sukee installs the first NovaFold 110 A2 in Asia-Pacific

Bengaluru-based Sukee Print Pack has invested in a Bobst NovaFold 110 A2 folder-gluer, becoming the first customer in Asia-Pacific to purchase the machine launched in 2022. Sukee booked the machine immediately after the launch, making it the first customer in this part of the world to invest in the machine.

The machine has been running on the company shopfloor since July 2022.

Uttam VS, director, Sukee Print Pack (SPPL), said, “We have enjoyed a long partnership with Bobst and are happy with the performance and quality of Bobst products."

The NovaFold 110 A2 is equipped with 4-and 6-corner boxes; a corrugation attachment which can convert E, F and N-flute cartons and a special attachment for incense stick cartons. “Incense stick boxes are one of our biggest segments and this fully-loaded machine will help us manufacture such packs faster and better,” he said.

Sumanth VS, director, Sukee Print Pack, said, “We like the new aesthetic design, electronics advancements of the machines. One of the features is the almost 15-20% reduction in makeready time which is useful for quick delivery. The speed of the machine is 350-m/min for the straight line.”

He added that Sukee is known for its quality products and thus, the company requires best-in-class machines to deliver quality products fast. The company produces mono cartons, metPET cartons, luxury packaging boxes, POSM, E and G fluted cartons, labels and rigid boxes in its 200,000-sqft factory.

Arvind Dhand of Bobst India, said, “Sukee and Bobst have a long relationship. The packaging converter is running multiple post-press equipment from Bobst.”

Since the launch, Bobst has sold about18 NovaFold 110 A2 folder-gluers.
