Vidya Bharati Press has invested in a Bindwel 2500 V24 to boost production. A spokesperson at the press said, "Earlier we were only able to produce less than 1000 books per day, but now production has increased to 2000-2500 books per hour."
Additionally, PrintWeek was notified that the quality of books has improved.
The Bindwel 2500 V24 supports the press facility, which is 3,200 sq/ft, consisting of single, double and four-colour Heidelberg offset machines, a polar cutting machine, a Printograph book stitcher, a Shoei folding machine, and an Adast guillotine cutter.
The not-for-profit organisation and press, issued a statement to PrintWeek, which said, "We find the production speed and technical support provided by Bindwel the most valuable. The FPLP gadget helped eliminate the front and last-page opening issue, which used to happen earlier, and the ALC has helped in keeping the adhesive consumption in check."
Additionally, a total of 20,000 softcover books are produced in a day using Bindwel 2500 V24. The spokesperson said, "We were supposed to bind and dispatch all titles in a single day, and we were able to do this with the Bindwel machine, and the timeline was met."
In a statement that was issued to PrintWeek, the administrator of the Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham Trust, employees, and the person-in-charge of the press are satisfied that the new Bindwel machine is serving the purpose excellently well.
