Becker announces a new subsidiary in India

Besides vacuum and pneumatic equipment, the Euro 200-mn company also manufactures rotary vane vacuum pumps, screw vacuum pumps, claw vacuum pumps, roots booster pumps, radial vacuum pumps, rotary vane compressors and side channel blowers to name a few. Becker’s new subsidiary, Becker India Vacuum Pump is based in Pune and supported by a dedicated sales and support team spearheaded by CEO Milind Bhalerao. Becker will be investing close to Rs 10-crore in the new subsidiary which will also have an assembly unit in Bhumkum, around Pune.

According to Bhalerao, the reason for establishing the new subsidiary was to increase goodwill with customers, create a brand for Becker and increase its footprint in the Indian market. “We want to closely work with Indian customers for the supply of products and solutions as well as offer services,” said Bhalerao, adding, “This new development will enable increased efficiencies and diversification.”

Becker India’s current focus will be on supply chain management with a warehouse, testing facility, service centre, and demo-cum-training room at Bhukum. “In the future, we aim at manufacturing products locally with a customer-centric approach,” said Bhalerao.
