Astron gets a Digicon for its Dubai facility

Started in 2002, Astron Packaging believes that the product is more than its content and the well-thought packaging drives the customer to buy the product. The company caters to the needs of varied industries such as FMCG, household appliances, cosmetics, and pharma, among others.

The company, which started its UAE operations in 2019 with the installation of a Lombardi Synchroline press, and after adding a digital system, felt the need to add a finishing line. Based on its positive experience of installing multiple ABG lines in their India plant, Astron decided to install the latest, the Digicon Series 3 for its UAE facility.

The Digicon Series 3 systems are modular in design, so that they can be tailored to meet individual needs and create a clear competitive advantage for any print business. The machine offers the world’s fastest semi-rotary die cutting and can run at 150-m/min and work inline with the world’s fastest digital print engines. Two complete semi-rotary flexo units with GEW UV system, spot varnishing feature, cold foil/ lamination and super gloss unit, matrix rewind, slitting unit, dual rewinder are a few of the options that Astron has opted for.
