2019 InterTech Awards announced by PIA

Of the 17 technologies nominated for a 2019 InterTech Technology Award, ten technologies have been selected by the judges as "being truly innovative and expected to have a significant impact on the graphic communications industry."

An official statement from Printing Industries of America (PIA) said, "The independent panel of judges deliberated over an outstanding selection of technology nominations which highlight the dynamic nature of the industry. As another sign of the industry's direction, more than half of the awarded technologies, including two high-speed inkjet presses, produce or support digital printing."

In addition, the judges recognised technologies that improve quality and sustainability of flexographic printing, reduce cutting errors, and introduce artificial intelligence to layout and imposition.
