First things first. Greater Noida-based Saurabh Printers has enhanced its production capabilities with the installation of the Freedom 2K short-run bookbinding system from Bindwel Technologies. This system is designed for efficiency and precision, aligning with Saurabh Printers’ focus on delivering high-quality printed products to its diverse clientele.
Saurabh Printers, helmed by Vinod Kumar Gulati, specialises in a range of printing services, including books, brochures, magazines, and posters. The company boasts expertise in both offset and web printing, with capabilities for single-colour, two-colour, four-colour, and five-colour printing. Additionally, Saurabh Printers offers digital printing solutions, featuring a raft of toner and inkjet printing technologies, including the Knozzlejet inkjet printing systems from Monotech, equipped with web handling systems from Pressline International.
Saurabh Printers is a full-service print house providing pre-press services, including converting content to epub and other ebook formats, in addition to printing on paper, binding, and providing distribution services.
As reported to the PrintWeek team, all the books from multiple cut-sheet and web-fed digital printers are finished using the Freedom 2K, ensuring a seamless and high-quality production process.
With a sprawling 70,000-sqft facility and a workforce running on two shifts, Saurabh Printers is equipped to meet the growing demands of publishing houses, educational institutions, and advertising agencies. Its ability to produce 40,000 paperback and 5,000 hardback books daily is a testament to its printing capacity and efficient operations.
The Freedom 2K impact
The installation of the Freedom 2K has enabled Saurabh Printers to streamline its short-run bookbinding operations. This advanced system ensures quick turnaround times without compromising on quality, a crucial factor for Saurabh Printers given its reputation for handling large-volume and time-sensitive projects.
The Freedom 2K is a binder specially targeting the hybrid book print space, consisting of sheet-fed and digital printing. The system can read a QR code and turn around the job in under one minute. “Be it micro, short, or medium runs, Freedom 2K sprints through the job,” says Pallippuram Sajith, the managing director of Bindwel. The addition of the Freedom 2K aligns seamlessly with the company’s commitment to cost-effective solutions, customisation, and versatility in printing services.
A testimony to book excellence
Vinod Kumar Gulati attributes the company’s success to its skilled workforce, some of whom have been with the firm for 15 to 20 years. This experience, coupled with binding muscle like the Freedom 2K, ensures that Saurabh Printers delivers on its promise of high-quality, cost-effective printing solutions.
According to Pallippuram Sajith “We have a 30 years of relationship with Saurabh Printers group, as they were our first customers in North India, when they bought a single-clamp machine from us in 1993. We are proud that our journeys are connecting again –as we traverse the paths of the future of bookbinding."
