I am a digital printer from Sangli, operating two Canon presses, one a C600 colour press and one Canon 8595 mono press.
I am looking at media solutions available, which I can use to produce new products, and it could be labels too.
Interestingly, I found special papers like non-tearable media, which will allow me to print not only labels, but products like special menu cards, danglers, and the like.
Sangli is a small town, and being a designer, I can apply my innovative ideas to these media to produce interesting prints. I think the new media I am looking at will give me an opportunity to boost my digital operations.

I have two flexo presses, both imported. But at this show, I was interested in seeing what new the Indian manufacturers are the bringing, both in the flexo and finishing. I saw Multitec, Alliance, Webmaster and also good number of Indian finishing players like UV Graphic Technology and ICCE manufacturing corona treatment units. I am a strong supporter of Make in India and I plan to invest either an Indian flexo press or a finishing machine in the next six months.
As for the labelexpo India, I think the demonitisation has affected the footfall. The sentiments are low, and the momentum the label industry had gained has been lost. I expect the business to remain stagnant for the next six to eight months, maybe for a year. But hopefully the positive effects of demonitisation will propel the industry after the slowdown.
