Both machines were supplied by Insight Print Communications, continuing a partnership that stretches back to 2018.
Founded in 2009 by Arun Singhania, Vedi Offset started as a commercial offset operation handling brochures, catalogues, book publishing, and government work. The company, which runs with a team of 25-30 people, began shifting towards digital as customer demand patterns evolved. Shorter runs, tighter deadlines, and same-day delivery requirements, particularly from colleges and educational institutes, made the existing setup insufficient.
“We began getting more short-run jobs from colleges and institutes. They don’t need bulk prints, but they want delivery in a short time. Sometimes within a day,” said Singhania.
The Vedi Offset–Insight relationship predates the digital investments. It began in 2018 when Softlink Scanner, a sister concern of Vedi Offset, installed its first Kodak CTP system through Insight. That early interaction established the working dynamic that has defined the relationship since: Insight as a long-term technology partner rather than a one-time vendor. In 2024, Vedi Offset added a second Kodak Trendsetter through Insight to keep its prepress operations current.
“At that time, we were focused on improving our offset setup, and that’s when we connected with the Insight team. The experience was smooth, and the support was always there,” Singhania said.
Insight Print Communications has operated in the Indian print industry for over 35 years and has been a Kodak partner for more than three decades. The company also works closely with Fujifilm, Atexco, HP, Mimaki, Scodix, and Epson, giving it breadth across both conventional and digital technologies.
The production shift at Vedi Offset became measurable after the installation of the Atexco Vegapress 440 Mini in 2024, following a demonstration the team attended in Delhi. Before the installation, the press room could produce 25,000 to 30,000 A4 prints across a full working day. The Vegapress raised that to 50,000 A4 sheets per hour. The machine handles paper from 60 to 200 GSM and delivers duplex printing with automatic cutting and collating, reducing manual intervention at each stage of book production.
“If a customer comes to us in the morning with a book order, we can now deliver it the same day. Earlier, that was simply not possible,” says Singhania.
The ease of operation has been noted at the shop floor level as well. Syed Parveen, a graphic designer who has been with Vedi Offset for over seven years, describes the difference, “We’ve used many machines over the years, but this one is the easiest. You load the paper roll, set the program, and the machine takes care of the rest printing both sides, cutting, arranging everything properly. It saves a lot of time.”
Being among the early installations of the Vegapress in Central India has also opened up work from beyond Nagpur. The company is now handling orders from Mumbai, Raipur, and Bhopal.
In March 2026, Vedi Offset continued its investment cycle with the addition of the Fujifilm Revoria Press EC1100, again sourced through Insight. The investment is aimed at handling higher volumes without compromising turnaround or output quality, and expands the company’s digital capability alongside the existing Vegapress setup.
For Singhania, the choice of technology partner has been as important as the machines themselves. “Whenever we need help, the Insight team is there. From sales to installation to service, everything has been handled well. That kind of support gives you confidence to keep investing and growing,” he said.
Raja Kochhar, associate director at Insight Print Communications, said the Vedi Offset account reflects how the company approaches its dealer relationships. “Over the years, we have not just supplied equipment, we have worked closely with Arun Singhania and his team to understand their business needs and introduce the right solutions at the right time. From the Kodak CTP and Trendsetter to the Atexco Vegapress and the Fujifilm Revoria Press EC1100, every investment has been aimed at making them more competitive and more capable,” he said.
Raja Kochhar, associate director at Insight Print Communications, added, “Strong partnerships are built on trust, performance, and shared success and we are proud to stand alongside Vedi Offset on this journey.”
