Born in 9 August, 1948 in Punjab, Baldev, who has a mechanical engineering degree from abroad, later shifted to Chennai. He established Standard Machinery 35 years back.
He was one of the major suppliers for offset consumables in southern part of the country, and the first dealer of TechNova. He was also an importer of used offset printing presses for resale and importer of old grained offset uncoated plates.
Today, Standard Machinery is a major importer of confectionary machines, especially chocolates. It has four branches in Kerala.
Standard Machinery, which employs 60 people, will now be run by Baldev’s son Nikhil Kumar.
