At CorruPack 2026, Bhiwandi-based Sun-Up India Paper Board Machinery demonstrated that local engineering remains the backbone of the Indian packaging sector. The centrepiece of their exhibit was a 52-inch fingerless corrugation machine, a model that has become a technological benchmark for the company. Capable of producing up to six-tonnes of material in a 12-hour shift, the unit is designed to serve both semi-automatic and fully automatic production lines.

The defining unique selling point (USP) of the Sun-Up machine is its metallurgy. The unit is equipped with EN19 alloy steel rollers, which are precision-engineered for extreme wear resistance. According to Punit Singh    Burjee, director of Sun-Up India, these rollers are designed to last between eight and ten years—significantly longer than standard industry alternatives. This focus on long-term durability is a key part of Sun-Up's strategy to provide maintenance-free solutions to domestic box manufacturers.

Beyond mechanical strength, the machine incorporates a modern circulation tank and a vacuum suction system to ensure smooth paper handling at speeds of 30 to 40-meters per minute. By eliminating traditional mechanical fingers, the vacuum system prevents flute crushing, resulting in a stronger final product.
