Due to the fast developments in the technology, it is difficult to foresee where world printing market is heading. What will be the survival point for the existing printing units against the internet? How to survive in the increasing global competition? There may be many such questions every printer wants to understand for his future survival. Innovative business models pave the way for a secure future. It is essential to prepare the printing and packaging industry of India to withstand these challenges and to invest in the right and future technologies in Print.
Taking all these aspects in mind All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) is going to organize the annual event ‘Romancing Print’ on 24 and 25 February, 2015. This year theme will be ‘21st Century Printing’ and will be organized in collaboration with the Department of Printing Technology, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology (GJUS&T) at Hisar, Haryana, India, to educate the Indian Printers about these developments and to prepare them for the future challenges.
In this first ever research oriented international conference in India, the learned technologists and ‘Print Pundits’ from across the globe will be invited to share their views and to educate the Indian printers about the future trends of the printing and packaging industry. Ms. Yen Chen from China Print Academy, Ms. Beatrice Klause Secretary General INTERGRAF (Europe); Mr. Håvard Grjotheim, CEO 07 Media & former President of Intergraf, Norway; Sidney Bobb Chairman of the BAPC (British Association for Print & Communication) has already consented to be present. World renowned Mr. Frank Romano, RIT Professor Emeritus, USA and Modern Day Gutenberg, Mr. Benny Landa also consented to submit their research papers on the subject. Besides, confirmation of Prof. Hubler, Germany is awaited any moment. Besides these international personalities prominent people-in-print at least one each from every region of India will also be invited to share their views during this two day conference.
The conference is going to be a mile stone for the printing and packing industry of India, to organize them to be at the top of BRICS countries to secure maximum outsourced jobs from the west and other countries. More than 550 participants are expected to attend the mega event from across the country. The event includes presentations by the resource persons both from India & abroad and research paper presentations by the faculty members, researchers, industry experts, and students across the nation and printing of all the conference proceedings and research papers in the shape of a book to be released at the time of conference.
