Riso’s Valezus T2200 redefines production speed

Riso showcased its ultra-high-speed Valezus T2200 and GL series at Bharat Print Expo, emphasising heatless technology, low operational costs, and a dominant 85% domestic market share.

Riso’s presence at the Bharat Print Expo underscored the brand’s leadership in the high-speed inkjet segment, where it currently commands an estimated 85% of the Indian market.

Vaidyanathan G, director of UniDimensions (Riso’s key distribution partner), detailed how the brand’s proprietary heatless ForceJet technology has become a critical differentiator for Indian print providers.

The highlight of the showcase was the Riso Valezus T2200, a powerhouse production engine that utilises a unique twin-engine system to achieve a duplex speed of 330-prints per minute (A4).

Designed for high-volume environments such as book publishing and transactional mail, the T2200 utilises specialised high-density (HD) oil-based inks that ensure instant drying and minimal paper curling — a common issue with traditional aqueous systems. Despite its industrial-grade output, the machine maintains an eco-friendly profile, consuming a fraction of the energy required by toner-based competitors.

Vaidyanathan also highlighted the versatility of the ComColor GL and FT series, which cater to a spectrum of paper weights from 40gsm to 210gsm. These machines are the industry standard for government and education sectors, handling high-security variable data printing (VDP) for engineering exam sheets and voting ballot papers. A unique advantage noted by Vaidyanathan is the ability to run these high-speed printers on standard home-sized UPS systems; because the process is heatless, the printers can operate for up to four hours during power failures without overheating.

With a legacy of over 25 years and over 10,000 installations across India, Riso continues to prioritise long-term reliability over aggressive hardware sales.

“Our machines don’t suffer from the wear and tear associated with heat, allowing for 24-hour operation,” Vaidyanathan explained.
