According to a release from OPA, born in July 1968, Srivastava, a man of drive and initiative, is a 1988 print technologist from Northern Regional Institute of Printing Technology (NRIPT). He completed his post-graduation, MBA and later did his BTech in Printing and Packaging Technology.
Before joining IGNCA, Srivastava was the production head at Times of India for more than 19 years and head, production and pre-press at The Mall Today Newspaper (India Today Group) for about 11 years.
Srivastava also started a diploma course in printing technology at the Government Polytechnic, Patna and worked there as a part-time lecturer for 12 years.
Srivastava has played a leading role in spreading knowledge about printing and promoting printing as a career.
The release said, “His activities and commendable endeavours towards supporting constructive activations are appreciated by the people in print. Due to his commitment to the printing industry and services towards print education, he is recognised as the print leader. The India printing industry owes him a lot. By honouring Ravi Srivastava, the association is acknowledging the debt of gratitude which the printers owe to him.”
