A Heidelberg loyalist, Galaxy continued its relationship with Heidelberg when it finalised a Heidelberg Suprasetter A106, its third, and an Easymatrix 106 CS die-cutting machine, at PrintPack India, a bid to handle increased production after the Heidelberg CD 102 LX buy.
According to Vikas Gulati, director for production at Galaxy, this investment will meet the growing demand from their print buyers. “We need to ensure speed to market and guarantee that we can meet the tightest of deadlines while keeping the quality we need. These investments will remove the bottlenecks in our production process.
One of the reasons Gulati opted for the Suprasetter is the ability to have in-line punch. “It’s accurate in the register and reduces waste sheets, plus helps reduce human error.” He added, “We have a no-worries programme from Heidelberg India, which helps us to get a new laser if in case, something goes wrong with the CTP laser, as Heidelberg India offers an excellent after sales service.”
The Easymatrix 106 CS is Galaxy’s second investment in the converting division. The first was an Easymatrix 106 FC, which Gulati said, has “changed our offering to print buyers with hot foil application requirements”. He said, “Easymatrix 106 CS is one of the most reliable technologies from the Heidelberg portfolio in post -press.”
The Galaxy deal also includes using Saphira range of consumables from Heidelberg.
