The lecture, organised by the college’s Department of Printing Technology, was aimed to provide insights to the students on quality control and the latest technological advancements in printing.
In his welcome note, Dr M Nandakumar, Principal of the college and past president of AIFMP, New Delhi, said, “Printing is one of the fastest growing industries with growth rate of 7% in printing and 14% for packaging.” He added that printing industry was the second largest growing industry worldwide.
Pressman Solutions’ K Panthalaselvan elaborated on the importance of quality in today’s era. He said that nowadays, all presses are seeking the help of quality controller in developing the product quality and retaining the customer base.
He added, “A mere spending on quality can leverage your profit and customer base to new heights.”

Panthalaselvan interacted with the final year students of the college, who raised questions on future of printing and the scope of job opportunities abroad and he offered to conduct a one day workshop in future.
Meanwhile, Idealliance, a US-based non-profit for the visual communications and the media industry, sponsored an amount of Rs 1,00,000 to one of the second-year students, H Harsha Varthan, for pursuing his diploma.
