Pongrass Publishing Systems has appointed Kawal Arora as country manager for India with immediate effect.
Arora previously served as managing director of Ferag India and brings experience across the print and newspaper publishing sectors. According to the company, his industry knowledge and relationships within the publishing market are expected to support Pongrass’s growth strategy in India.
The appointment forms part of the company’s international expansion plans and reflects its focus on strengthening operations in the Indian publishing market.
Pongrass said it was also expanding its technical team in India to strengthen implementation capabilities, customer support, and product development activities for publishers in the region.
The company provides publishing workflow solutions connecting advertising, editorial, production, and financial systems for newspaper and magazine publishers.
According to Pongrass, its systems are adapted for Indian publishing requirements, including support for Indian-language typography, multi-script workflows, and localised production environments.
The company said the expanded India presence would help support publishers looking to modernise workflows and improve operational efficiency amid changing media industry requirements.
