The biennial Paperex is the largest exhibition in Asia for pulp and paper technology will also host a high level technical conference to serve as a knowledge serving platform. Exhibitors and decision makers from countries like China, Brazil, Italy, France, Taiwan, Finland and Germany.
The prospects for the paper and pulp industry in India, looks very bright. India has 15% of the world’s population but consumes only 2% of the world paper. The demand is expected to grow between 6 - 7 % per annum with the packaging industry poised to grow between 10 to 15% annually. Further reports state that only 60% of the current paper making capacity is being used in India.
The organisers are expecting a footfall of over 30,000 visitors at the show this year.
