According to news reports, the mill will come up at Padabadagaon village under Remuna Block in Balasore district with an investment of Rs 2,500-crore.
Bank Note Paper Mill India has a plant in Mysuru in Karnataka, with a total capacity of 12,000 metric tonne per annum (MTPA).
Recently Bank Note Paper Mill officials shared the details with Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik regarding the project.
Later, a five-member team from the RBI visited the spot and assessed the infrastructure required for the project. Around 100 acres of land is required to set up the mill.
