Ravindra Sharma of Khyati Enterprises is showcasing JB-106C screen press from Zhejiang Jinbao Machinery at Bharat Print Expo 2026 in Chennai.

The JB-106C combines screen printing with cast-cure UV foiling, enabling converters to achieve high-gloss, metallic and textured finishes in a single platform. The system supports multiple applications including matte, gloss, spot UV and decorative foiling, expanding the role of screen printing beyond conventional use cases.

According to Sharma, the servo-driven, fully automatic machine is suited for packaging segments such as cosmetics, FMCG, sweets and pharmaceuticals, as well as premium print applications including wedding cards. The technology allows converters to create enhanced visual effects, helping brands differentiate through packaging.

The system operates at speeds ranging from 2,000 to 4,500 sheets per hour, depending on the application. It is positioned as a cost-effective alternative to digital embellishment systems, offering similar visual impact while supporting multiple finishing processes on a single machine.

Introduced in India around four years ago, the technology is seeing increased interest as converters look to move towards value-added print. Sharma noted that the machine on display at Bharat Print Expo has already been sold to a customer in Bengaluru.

Through its participation at the exhibition, Khyati Enterprises is aiming to demonstrate the potential of cast-cure UV and foiling technologies to converters in South India, where demand for premium packaging finishes is gradually increasing.
