The machine has been running on the company shopfloor since October 2025.
Druman Mohandas of JD Graphics said, “At JD Graphics, we were receiving growing demand for short-run customised jobs, and we were looking for a reliable machine that could effectively cater to this requirement. We purchased the equipment around six months ago, and the results have been very encouraging. The company has been in the printing business since 1985. “Under the guidance of my father, my brother and I began building the business step by step. In 2004, we invested in a CTP machine, and since then, TechNova has been a constant support, especially in supplying plates and related solutions. Over the years, we have evolved from being a pre-press company into a complete print solutions provider, handling digital print jobs, packaging, proofing, short-run jobs and value-added applications such as embossing and foiling,” Mohandas said.
Today, it is based in Lower Parel, Mumbai. Mohandas manages the business along with his son, Omkar Mohandas. “We cater to a wide range of applications, including visiting cards, leaflets, specialised wedding cards mock-ups, packaging and several other customised print products,” he said.
The business today is focused on end-to-end printing solutions, with strong capabilities in digital printing, packaging, proofing and customised premium print applications. We have a team of over 20 staff members who manage every stage of production with close attention to detail. This allows us to maintain control over quality, speed and consistency throughout the workflow.
According to Mohandas, one of the biggest challenges in today’s digital printing business is meeting tight delivery timelines, especially for short-run urgent jobs. Customers expect faster turnaround without any compromise in quality. “Our solution has been to maintain strong internal coordination across departments so that every job moves seamlessly through the workflow and reaches the customer on time. With the installation of the JWEI LST03II-0806-RM, we are now in a much stronger position to handle such short-run jobs more efficiently,” he said.
As demand for short-run customised printing has increased, we have focused on making our operations more organised and technology-driven. The company has a strong setup that includes a CTP machine, an HP Indigo and a spot UV machine. The addition of the JWEI LST03II-0806-RM has further strengthened its infrastructure by introducing advanced cutting, creasing and plotting capabilities for premium applications.
Mohandas said the response from customers has been very positive. “They are happy with the quality and that is exactly what we always strive to achieve. The company expects to recover its investment sooner, as the market for premium short-run print applications is growing steadily. “Demand for short-run customised jobs is rising, especially with the growth of start-ups and with established brands increasingly launching seasonal and festival-based packaging. With the JWEI LST03II-0806-RM, we now have the flexibility to cater to different industries and produce a wide variety of applications such as packaging, sample displays, leaflets, magnets, PVC, self-adhesive labels and foam board jobs in small batches.
