Bradman manufactures distribution and feeding systems, flow wrapping, cartoning, loading and closing to case packing, shrink wrapping and roll wrapping machines. “You cannot say a naked product is finished and ready to be shipped into a container,” said Giles.
“Take for instance the Kitkat, our machines take the piece, flow-wraps them, make a display carton, feed the carton to a robotic loading system, transport the carton to a closure, which then glues the carton lid, giving a finished pack. In India, that’s pretty much as far as we have gone. However, beyond that we can then take those finished cartons and put them into cases.”
In India, Bradman has 700 individual units, of which 50 are inline machinery.
