A Mohan of Chennai-based Impress Graphic said the company is showcasing its finishing solutions portfolio at Bharat Print Expo 2026 in Chennai, with a focus on rigid box production and post-press applications.
Among the key products on display is the Impress semi-automatic V-grooving system, designed to deliver precision in board conversion workflows. The pneumatic-powered system integrates a 4.2-inch HMI interface for ease of operation and includes an inbuilt corner-cutting mechanism, enabling grooving and right-angle cutting in a single process.
The system supports rigid board and MDF substrates up to 8-mm thickness and offers a working width of 700-mm. A digital readout enables accurate back-margin settings up to 300-mm, allowing for consistent and repeatable production — a key requirement in rigid box manufacturing.
Impress Graphic highlighted that the system is suited for both small-scale and industrial setups, enabling converters to transition from manual to semi-automated production. The company also offers complete rigid box line solutions, including processes such as cutting, grooving, folding, taping and wrapping.

According to Mohan, the company has already secured bookings for three machines at the exhibition. It has also supplied multiple units to Bengaluru-based Sabari Print, indicating growing demand from packaging converters.
With over three decades in the industry and a manufacturing base in Chennai, Impress Graphic manufactures a wide range of finishing equipment, including drilling, corner cutting, binding and tagging machines, catering to both print and packaging segments.
Through its participation at Bharat Print Expo, the company is aiming to expand its reach among packaging converters in South India, particularly those exploring rigid box manufacturing and value-added finishing.
