Fespa Global Print Expo 2026 has opened its doors at Fira de Barcelona, celebrating a record-breaking show with a vibrant opening ceremony.
The show runs until Friday this week (22 May) across two halls and marks a decade since Fespa was last held in Barcelona.
Major manufacturers lining the halls at Fespa Global Print Expo include Agfa, Brother, Canon, Durst, EFI, HP, Koenig & Bauer Durst, Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems, Mimaki, Mutoh, Summa, SwissQprint and Zund.
Scodix is among the first-time exhibitors.
Daniel Sunderland, Fespa’s 19th president who was sworn in last year, said during the opening ceremony: “This year is a particular special year as for the first time in our history, together we're able to host six events as part of Fespa 2026.”
He continued: “This record-breaking number of Fespa events under one roof demonstrates our mission to connect, inspire, and support the entire Fespa community. Therefore, we can't wait to showcase the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in specialty print and its related sectors.”
It is the inaugural year for the newly introduced Textile and Corrugated events, taking place at opposite ends of Hall 3.
Alongside the exhibition, the event is hosting a free Corrugated Conference programme with expert talks on how converters can adapt to evolving market trends.
Also making its Fespa debut is WrapFest, held in Hall 2, which will host two live World Wrap Masters Competitions, the World Wrap Masters Europe followed by the World Wrap Masters Final.
The event will spotlight the latest developments in vehicle wrapping and vinyl applications while the Wrap Talks conference will feature sessions to help develop understanding of the wrap industry.
An all new Fespa Conference is being held in Hall 3, offering visitors a chance to explore trends and opportunities across speciality print, signage, textile and personalisation.
In addition, the European Sign Expo and Personalisation Experience are returning once again.
This year’s theme ‘The Place for Experts’ aims to reflect the depth and diversity of the Fespa community.
“We have in store for you an exhibition which is much more,” said Michael Ryan, head of Fespa global print expo during his welcome speech.
“We have Personalisation, we have Textile, we have WrapFest, we have Fespa Global Print Expo, European Sign Expo. We are celebrating corrugated here for the very first time.”
He added: “There is a lot to expect, there's a lot to say and we really hope you enjoy the experience with us for Fespa Global Print Expo 2026 in Barcelona, bienvenido a todo el mundo.”
The opening ceremony took place this morning (19 May), marked by the cutting of the ribbon by the Fespa board and preceded by a live guitar act.
