Esko will integrate GlobalVision’s compliance software technology into its digital workflow, following its owner Veralto’s acquisition of the Montreal-headquartered firm. The deal, announced on 31 March, will see GlobalVision partner with Esko to embed its AI-augmented compliance technology into Esko’s packaging design platform.

GlobalVision runs automated proofreading software, providing AI-augmented inspections for pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods customers.

Its technology allows users to verify digital or printed content against approved files, to digitally compare two files and identify differences. Embedding GlobalVision’s technology into Esko’s workflow will enhance accuracy and compliance, said Veralto president and CEO, Jennifer L Honeycutt.

Honeycutt said: “Consumer packaged goods and pharmaceutical companies are facing incredible demands to meet regulatory and brand consistency standards as they introduce new products to market quickly and accurately. Embedding GlobalVision’s core technology into Esko’s workflow solutions will help our customers get products to market faster and avoid costly errors by ensuring packaging is accurate and compliant.”

GlobalVision, which was founded in 1990, is expected to deliver an estimated USD 25-m in sales in 2026.

The acquisition purchase price is worth approximately 15x estimated adjusted EBITDA of USD 13-m, which is made up of estimated standalone adjusted EBITDA for 2026 and cost synergies expected to be achieved by the end of year two.

Brandon Malz, CEO at GlobalVision, said: “We’ve spent decades building GlobalVision to ensure that the most critical packaging content in the world is accurate, compliant, and trusted.”

Malz said joining Esko and Veralto was a “natural next step” that will allow the company to embed its capability into packaging at a global scale. He continued: “Together, we see a unique opportunity to bring AI-augmented quality and compliance deeper into our customers’ workflows and fundamentally transform how products are brought to market.”
