Among these 15 investments, there are two we have not reported yet. One is Pragati’s investments in KBA and Emmeci, and the other is the purchase of five Rotatek by Indian Railways.

With these new investments, the Hyderabad-based packaging giant reinforces its presence in the rigid box segment. On the other hand, being a government organisation, the Railways is not forthcoming with information about the Rotatek deal. All we can say is that three machines have already been installed at Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad.

Ryobi LED at Impact Promotions

New Delhi-based Impact Promotions installed the first Ryobi 920 series of five-colour printing press equipped with LED UV technology during PrinPack 2015. The machine had its global launch at the show.

Parksons puts the new Heidelberg CX102 into production

India's first Heidelberg Speedmaster CX102 was up and running at Parksons Packaging's unit in Daman in March 2015.

LED UV production at Maruthi

Faridabad-based APL Machinery organised a LED UV Open House on 22 August 2015 at Shree Maruthi Printers in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The event was attended by more than 100 people.

Omet and Bobst at Kap Cones

Kap Cones, which is into lamitubes and food packaging, especially ice cream, signed a purchase order for Xflex X6 flexo press on the first evening of Labelexpo 2015.

Heidelberg, Omet and Emmeci at Any Graphics
With its investment in Heidelberg XL75 seven-colour with UV and coater, an Emmeci rigid box machine, and a Bobst Novacut die-cutter and a Bobst Vision Fold folder-gluer, Any Graphics is all set to produce five to six lakh mono cartons every day.

Manroland at Namaste Telangana

The Telugu daily, Namaste Telangana placed an order with Manroland India to manufacture and supply Cromoman 4x1 newspaper press in December 2015.

Komori and Sakurai at Nageen Prakashan
Nageen Prakshan, one of the biggest book printing facilities in Meerut, invested in an array of equipment, including a Komori machine.

Bobst at Astron
Ahmedabad-based corrugation and label specialist Astron Packaging became the first print firm in South Asia to install the highly configured six-colour FFG 1228 NT RS flexo folder-gluer line.

CanPac’s new plant
Ahmedabad-based CanPac inaugurated a brand-new corrugation box plant in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu on 24 January 2015.

Heidelberg Foilstar and Emmeci at Rave
Rave India shifted its entire production facility under one roof to Manesar, with additional investments in a Heildelberg and another Emmeci rigid box machine.

Multiple Emmeci machines at Label Kingdom
Anil Agencies, the representative of Italy-based Emmeci in India, signed a deal with Chennai-based Label Kingdom for the MC2004 APP and a MC2012 automatic rigid box machines.

Parksons pioneers cold foiling in Asia

Parksons Packaging became the first Indian company in Asia to implement inline cold foiling technology with the installation of a new KBA Rapida 106 in May 2015.

Edale at NAP Printers

Kolkata-based NAP Printers opted for a combination kit from Edale. NAP said the Edale is a flexography press for carton packaging with extra value-added and anti-counterfeiting features.
