Candle United expands with new digital label facility

Yamuna Nagar, Haryana-based Candle United has recently invested in a Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230. With this, the company has forayed into digital printing operations in the new unit for future-ready growth and expansion.

The machine was supplied and installed by Reifenhauser India.

“The Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230 has been an important addition to our new facility and digital expansion plans. The machine offers excellent print consistency, quick job changeovers, and strong reliability for short-run label production. It aligns perfectly with our vision of building a modern and future-ready label manufacturing setup,” Vansh Kapoor, managing director, Candle United, said.

The company’s newly developed premises, spread across nearly 70,000-sqft of land with future expansion potential up to 2,00,000-sqft through multi-storey development, reflect a long-term vision focused on scalable manufacturing, automation, and next-generation label production capabilities.

Leading this transformation is managing director Vansh Kapoor, representing the fourth generation of a family business whose roots date back to the 1970s.

“The business has evolved continuously over the last five decades by adapting to changing technologies and customer requirements,” said Kapoor. “Our latest expansion is focused on building long-term manufacturing capabilities with a strong emphasis on quality, flexibility, automation, and scalability.”

The company’s journey began in the 1970s as traditional letterpress printers producing cinema tickets, bus tickets, and stationery products from a small home-based setup.

During the 1980s, operations expanded into letterpress and silk screen printing for school notebooks, college registers, ID cards, invitation cards, and commercial printing applications.

In the 1990s, the company diversified into sticker printing using hot stamping foil and offset printing technologies, primarily catering to utensil manufacturers and construction material industries such as plywood and panel manufacturers. During this phase, a dedicated 2,000-sqft facility was established, housing screen printing, hot stamping, offset printing, and adhesive gumming operations.

Between the 2000s and 2020s, the company expanded its existing operations to approximately 4,000-sqft while gradually entering roll-to-roll sticker printing with hot foil stamping and die-cutting capabilities.

Following Kapoor’s return from Australia in 2021, the company accelerated its modernisation strategy through the installation of an LED roll-to-roll flexo press focused on serving pharmaceutical, FMCG, and packaged drinking water industries. The company further strengthened its converting and finishing infrastructure with additional slitter rewinder capabilities.

In 2025–2026, Candle United undertook its largest expansion to date through the acquisition and development of its new industrial premises along with the installation of the Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230 digital label press and advanced finishing equipment.

The commercial digital label production operations officially commenced at the new unit in April 2026.

Kapoor said the new setup has been designed to support future growth in short-run label manufacturing, variable data and versioned printing, faster delivery timelines, premium label applications, and and scalable production infrastructure for growing brands.
