Beginning with a single letterpress, Shivam Offset was established in the late 1980s when the company started as a printer of bill books and visiting cards. Today, the company has earned its reputation as a prominent book printer and packaging converter running four fully-equipped production units which get regularly upgraded with advanced presses and finishing equipment
Backed by a team of 300 experienced staff members, two of Shivam Offset’s four production units are located in Kolhapur while the remaining two are in Pune and Belgaum. A total of 17 web presses, 8 offset presses, and a line of post-press equipment are now productively and efficiently running at the facilities of the company’s production units.
“The brand-new Lithrone GL37 has been installed at one of our Kolhapur units,” Sanjay Mahadev Thorwat, founder of Shivam Offset, said. He adds that the new six-colour Komori sheetfed offset press is ideal for handling multiple print jobs.
The addition of the new Lithrone G37 has bolstered the company’s book and packaging printing into new quality and standard. Engineered for book printing with its ability to handle short turnarounds, variable job sizes, and diverse print needs, the new Komori offset press at Shivam Offset is perfect and precise for publishing as well as commercial printing jobs.
Capable to operate at an unprecedented speed of 15,000-sph, with precise control for high-quality outputs, the Lithrone G37 features an offline KHS-AI control system for quick startup, high-speed operation, and also other features revolving around automations and stability. Thorwat is now joined by his sons, Shivam Sanjay Thorwat and Kamlesh Thorwat, in the business, alongside his brother Vijay Thorwat.
“We keep moving with the constant upgrades of machine portfolio, such as the addition of the Lithrone G37, and boosting of our team with the welcome of younger generations on board,” Thorwat said.
