Each year, Avery Dennison Foundation in association with Institute of International Education (IIE), honours 10-15 Indian students belonging to five premier institutes with scholarship to encourage and support leadership and innovation development amongst them. These students also get an opportunity to participate in a special workshop on invention and innovation conducted by the Avery Dennison Foundation.
The five premier institutes are Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru; BITS Pilani; National Institute of Technology, Trichy; MKSSS Cummins College of Women; and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
Started in India in 2012, the winners under the Avery Dennison Foundation Spirit of Invention (InvEnt) Scholarship Programme are selected through a merit-based, rigorous three-stage selection process. It is the ninth edition of the awards and a total of 95 scholarships to date, have been given.
