3. Venue, dates and organization:
APC is an annual 2-day convention for magazine and online publishers, to be held on July 11 & 12, 2013. It completed its 5th cycle in Bangkok. APC travels across ASEAN: Kuala Lumpur (2007), Singapore (2008), Manila (2009), HCMC (2010), Bangkok (2011) and Kuala Lumpur (2012).
APC 2012 Partners: The Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA), Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC), Association of Indian Magazines (AIM), Magazine Business Association of Taipei (MBAT), Magazine Publishers Association of Malaysia (MPA), Magazine Publishers Association of Singapore (MPAS), National Book Development Council of Singapore (NBDCS), National Book Development Board (NBDB) and VietnamMarcom.
The principal organizer of the APC is EXEDRA EVENTS, event management specialists. EXEDRA EVENTS organizers of the Asian Publishing Convention, the Asian Publishing Awards, the Hospital Management Asia and the Asian Hospital Management Awards.
4. Elements of the Convention
APC’s program includes a combination of plenary and bootcamp sessions featuring widely recognized multimedia industry leaders and gurus from around the world, workshops and demonstrations on topic-specific innovations and up-to-date best multimedia publishing practices.
4.1) PLENARY SESSIONS: These identify the global and regional economic and business trends in Creating, Exchanging and Marketing Multimedia Content.
4.2) BOOTCAMP SESSIONS: Delegates will choose from high-value, intensive, hands-on, practical sessions.
4.3) ASIAN PUBLISHING AWARDS (APA): APA incorporates the Asian Magazine Management Awards, Asian Book Publishing Awards, and the Asian Corporate Communication Awards. There is a Gala Dinner and Award ceremonies.
4.4) ROUNDTABLE PLENARY Q&A: A venue where delegates can ask the APC Faculty about any of the topics discussed throughout the day.
4.5) CONVENTION WEBSITE: The site will feature information and updates about the event and its schedules, accept reservations and inquiries, have an FAQ section, a picture gallery of previous events, workshop notes and background information about the various associations and corporate partners.
4.6) PAPAN MEETING: The formalized Pan-Asian Publishing Alliance Network will have its AGM at APC. It brings regional industry leaders, freelancers, associations, publishers, vendors and service providers together to drive value across borders. One key initiative is the CONTENT HUB to monetize used content.
4.7) B2B MARKETPLACE: Media owners meet with their counterparts to discuss franchising opportunities and make deals. Systems providers are on hand to demo solutions.

5. Social Events
There will be two major social events. The first, the Grand Welcome Reception and Fellowship night, takes place on the evening of the first day. All participants wear nametags and the event is managed so that delegates, sponsors, workshop leaders, exhibitors and organizers can meet and network. The second major event is the charged atmosphere of the Gala Dinner and ceremonies of the Asian Publishing Awards (APA) held on the evening of the second day.
