AV Anoop, chairman and managing director of AVA Group, said the printing industry is undergoing a significant transformation driven by technology, innovation and changing market expectations.

Speaking as guest of honour at the AIFMP awards ceremony held alongside Bharat Print Expo 2026 in Chennai, Anoop described the sector as a “perfect blend of technology, creativity and precision.”

He said printing today is no longer limited to reproduction, but has evolved into a system that delivers “consistency, customisation and world-class quality.”

Highlighting industry advancements, Anoop pointed to the growing role of “high-speed digital processes, automation, AI-driven tools and sustainable solutions” in shaping modern print operations. He added that India is emerging as a hub of innovation, with improved production speeds, superior finishes and enhanced visual appeal.

Drawing from his experience with Medimix, Anoop emphasised the role of print in building brand identity and consumer connection. He noted that in earlier years, simple printed formats such as posters, calendars, paper fans and point-of-sale materials played a crucial role in creating awareness and recall.

“These traditional formats had clear advantages. They were cost-effective, easy to distribute and highly relevant to local markets,” he said, adding that such initiatives helped brands build strong grassroots connections, particularly in smaller towns and rural markets.

He said these early efforts demonstrated that “even simple, well-executed printed communication can drive awareness, engagement and long-term loyalty.”

Anoop also congratulated the award winners, stating that the innovation showcased by them opens new avenues for growth and excellence in the print and packaging sector.

He concluded by expressing confidence in the industry’s future, adding that the achievements recognised at the awards contribute to the overall progress and pride of the sector.
