PrintWeek India Awards Jury Day on 31 October

Every year, PrintWeek India ensures a panel of expert print buyers constitute the judging panel.

The Jury Day comprises of experts who evaluate the print as well as packaging finesse.

Noel D’cunha of PrintWeek India, “The PrintWeek India team has a well defined process for selecting the panellists, usually, comprising of print customers, creative designers and packaging experts, in order, to analyse the samples with a broader and out-and-out perspective.”

Puneet Datta, senior director for professional printing products at Canon India, said, “PrintWeek India Awards is a platform where you see the maximum number of innovations on digital or on any print media for that matter. I have been a part of this from day one. If you place the entries next to each other, you can see that innovations are moving in unimaginable directions. These are things that can get them more profits and can add more value.”

The 2018 Jury Day had a 21-member strong jury, a majority of the panel were women, who evaluated over 900 print samples. The event was followed by an interactive session about the challenges in print and packaging.

“I was amazed at some of the print samples of children’s books and how digital print is being used to create new 3D pop-up books, which are visually more appealing to children and make learning more fun,” added Datta.

The PrintWeek India Awards night will be hosted on 2 December 2019 at Hotel Sofitel in Mumbai.
