Labelexpo Europe 2019: Screen launches a new, faster Truepress Jet L350UV SAI digital press

Screen has answered the growing calls to improve installation cost and other aspects of digital label presses by launching the Truepress Jet L350UV SAI.

The system’s name “SAI” represents its design concept and refers to its extremely “stable” operation, highly “accurate” colour reproduction and time-tested “integrated” technologies.

According to Sunil Thakeria, director, Insight Print Communication, the Indian representative of Screen for Truepress kit, the press features improved colour reproduction as well as superior scalability enabling it to meet a wide variety of market needs. “We have installed India’s first Truepress Jet L350 UV at S Kumar Multi Products in Ahmedabad, and our experience says that production levels for label printing in India is growing. Brands are showing strong interest in labels and seals used in short-run limited and regional campaigns, to stimulate consumers’ desire to purchase. The Screen Truepress Jet L350UV SAI is a perfect fit for such demand.

The Truepress Jet L350UV SAI will be available in four variant, starting with the entry level, a L350UV SAI E, a CMYK press, going up to the L350UV SAI Z variant with a speed of up to 80 m/min. “The Truepress Jet L350UV SAI with additional slots for mounting inkjet printheads. This means, along with C, M, Y and K, it can be loaded with white, orange and blue inks for a total of seven colours,” said Thekaria.

He informed PrintWeek India that Screen plans to launch the S, E, Z and LM models sequentially starting in January 2020.
