Aptar to showcase closure solutions at Drinktec in September

Aptar Food + Beverage will demonstrate its most recent closure solutions for dispensing beverages and other liquid items, ranging from pouring to squeezing solutions, as well as new tethered closures by the future European directive requirement for single-use plastics.

During the four days at Messe München in Germany, there will be an unveiling of Aptar Food + Beverage's recently launched Food + Beverage new brand identity. "Create, Collaborate, Innovate" is Aptar's way to demonstrate the company's passion and commitment to helping companies achieve their environmental targets while striving to create a more circular economy and make a positive impact in the lives of consumers worldwide.

"Aptar is delighted to be a part of Drinktec 2022 and promote multiple breakthrough solutions such as Rocket, the next generation sports cap, full line of beverage closures, and a sneak peek at some prototypes that are set to create new ways of handling and protecting products," said Arthur Lenoir, the product marketing director at EMEA - Food + Beverage at Aptar. 

Also, Aptar will be showcasing its next-generation Rocket sports cap at the exhibition, a tethered solution that redefines the norm for non-detachable, tamper-evident visibility, with a wide opening angle for drinking comfort. Rocket is compatible with the planned European law on tethered closures for single-use plastics, which is set to enter the market in mid-2024.

Meanwhile Aptar’s SimpliCycle recyclable valve is driving sustainability to the forefront of packaging. Aptar's SimpliCycle TPE valve is a recyclable solution for use with PET, PE, or PP containers. As per an Aptar press note, the valve is made from a low-density material, the valve floats in the recycling tanks, allowing PET to be separated from the PET stream, and then recycled right along with the PP/PE.

The valve was recently honoured to be awarded the best CSR/Sustainability initiative in.2021 by World Food Innovation Awards and in 2022 received the prestigious WorldStar Global Packaging Award for packaging innovation.

Aptar will also showcase new concepts for pouring liquid beverages, including a prototype of the new Blue EVO Cap. The company is committed to improving the overall recyclability of plastic packaging and is dedicated to helping brands achieve their bold environmental goals with high-performance solutions while making a positive impact in the lives of consumers and on our planet. "Visitors to Aptar's stand at drinktec will see this approach reflected in the products and concepts as the company will feature," said Aptar's CEO Jean-Claude Lenoir.

During Drinktec, visitors to the Aptar stand will have an opportunity to participate in a daily drawing to receive a REBO smart water bottle.
