Established in 1992, Suraksha Flexo Pack has production units in Ajmer, Rajasthan. One unit is dedicated for flexible packaging film and pouches. The facility can convert 750 metric tonnes of films per month with a covered area of about 50,000-sqft. The flexible printing unit is equipped with three eight-colour rotogravure printing presses with web widths of 1,000-, 1,100- and 1,300-mm.

The second unit is dedicated to corrugation. It has a capacity to convert 1,500-metric tonnes of kraft paper per month in 40,000-sqft covered area. The corrugation plant can manufacture boards using a combination of various flutes.

A third unit would be functional by October. This unit will have three blown film extrusion lines with a capacity of 500-mt per month.

The company’s lamination segment is equipped with four lamination machines — three solventless and one solvent-based. The company can do registered window metalised and registered coatings with general lamination.

The company has recently installed a state of the art extrusion coating lamination machine to cater to the growing snack food and healthcare segment.

Sudhanshu Gupta, director, Suraksha Flexo Pack, said, “As the business grows, it expands and you need a system to manage and run it. ERP was the need of the hour for us to become a system-oriented and professionally managed organisation.”

Suraksha can produce a range of products including centre-seal, side-seal, stand up, zipper, four-side seal and 10 kg heavy aata bags. The film extrusion facility is equipped with three extrusion machines which can produce from mono to multilayer films.

The implementation of the system took around 100 days at the flexible unit and around 45 days at the corrugation unit.

Suraksha is a family owned business and run by Anil Gupta, a commerce graduate and chairman of the company with more than 35 years of experience in packaging industry, Rakesh Gupta, an electronics engineer, Sandeep Gupta, a mechanical engineer, Sudhanshu Gupta, a management and marketing professional and Ashish Gupta, a finance professional.
