What does the machine do?
It is a powerful machine built for high quality, on-demand printing and added services such as variable data printing.
Did you look at any other similar machine?
We looked at machines like the HP Indigo 3500 and 5500 and the Kodak Nexpress.
Why did you make the purchase?
The prints are comparative with the HP Indigo and Kodak Nexpress. It is cost effective vis-a-vis these machines due to FSMA charges (full service maintenance agreement).
What features do you particularly like?
Duplex printing is accurate. Colour accuracy is excellent. And it has an easy printing process.
Is there anything that you dislike?
Nothing as yet. I am satisfied.
Is there anything that you wish it had that it doesn’t?
The machine should have the profile making in the Fiery.
How fast is it?
It can print 13x19in duplex 19 prints per minute (65 A4 size per minute).
What’s the quality like?
The output quality is impressive.
How reliable is it?
It is perfectly reliable.
How easy is it to use?
It is user friendly. One has to check the inputs that have been given to the machine. For eg, the file format and profile.
How much time or money has it saved?
Every brand-new machine saves time, but with the Canon C 7000 VP I have saved money on the consumption of power and rejections. The press has very low rejection rate.
Has it won you any new work?
Yes, I have added new clients to my customer base.
Would you say that it offers value for money?
Yes, it offers 100% value for money.
Where there any difficulties experienced during the installation or after?
It took three months to understand the machine. I would say Canon has done a wonderful job.
What about the pre and after sales service?
The after-sales service is excellent. Canon organises regular visits and pre-measurement machine checks. I don’t have to prompt Canon about any complaints. Their engineers visit my unit, on a regular basis.
Who do you thing the machine is right for?
It is easy to use especially for newcomers in the industry.
Under what circumstances would you buy another?
When I expand, I would buy another Imagepress. I trust Canon’s technology.
