RIPTAA conducts conference on green printing

The alumni association of Regional Institute of Printing Technology (RIPTAA) conducted its 31st annual conference and annual general meeting in Kolkata.

‘Save the earth by responsible use of printer’s consumables’ as the topic for the summit, the conference had speeches and presentation from a series of speakers including Snehasis Chanda Roy, technical director, Times Group, Dr Rajendra Kumar Anayath, vice-chancellor, DCSTU, Kamal Chopra, president, AIFMP amongst others.

“We conducted the conference for the second year successively at state-of-the-art Rangmanch Hall, Swabhumi keeping in the mind in an increase in participation in the recent years and also with the aim of having an event at par with other elite alumni associations of different trades,” said Nirmal Kanti Saha, general secretary of RIPTAA.

Pradip Ghaisas of Technova, Nagmani Singh of Avery Dennison, Amitava Chakraborty of Huber and Neeraj Sharma of Vinsak/Creed Engineers made technical presentations and showcased the strengths of each of their company.

“We had enthusiastic participation from the alumni both young and old. As an association, we also awarded scholarships to several associate members. The event overall was a grand success,” concluded Saha.
