Pune-based Pratiroop Mudran expands into packaging printing

Pune-based Pratiroop Mudran inaugurated its new facility in Ramtekdi, Pune, on 5 September, 2014. The newly established plant covers 10,000 sq/ft area in a three-storey building.

Rahul Gadia, partner, Pratiroop Mudran stated at the launch, “The newly established plant will focus on packaging printing. This expansion will help us to capture the growing opportunities in the market. We believe it is a high growth segment.” 
 
The ceremony was attended by top print CEOs from the Pune print industry. In addition, Pratiroop’s team managed to rope in their print buyers to showcase the technologies at their new plant. Shailendra Bhagwat, partner, Pratiroop Mudran said, “The print-buyer initiative was one such thing which we wanted to do to showcase the various technologies at our shopfloor right from pre-press to post-press.”
 
Established in 1998, Pratiroop Mudran are specialists in commercial printing. The company before moving into Ramtekdi, had a dedicated print setup at Parvati Industrial Estate in the heart of Pune city. 
 
Pratiroop Mudran specialises in brochure printing, leaflets, books,  posters, diaries, calendars, magazines, presentation folders, danglers, stationery, visual aids, booklets and folders to name a few.
 
The 35-employee company houses a Kodak Trendsetter 800 and a Komori Lithrone S29 which is powered by an Intellitrax D system. As a part of the expansion plan the company has installed Maharasthra’s first LS-32 six-colour combi HUV press from Komori.
 
Komori LS-32, an appropriate machine for commercial printers who are planning to enter in to packaging printing is equipped with the first fully automatic plate changer and Komori’s KHS-AI (Advanced Interface) system. Offering the largest maximum paper size of any 32-inch class press, the Lithrone S32 enables a variety of impositions.
 
It addresses a wide range of needs, from books and magazine printing to packaging printing due to its capability of printing on both, very light and heavy stocks and can process sheets with thickness ranging from 0.04 to 0.8mm.
 
Apart from this the company has also added a Bobst Ambition folder-gluer for its packaging operations. The other machines at its shopfloor include a die-cutter from Excel machinery, a crease and fold machine from Horizon, a case-maker from Muller-Martini, LongMa perfect binder from Muller Martini and a Perfecta 115 cutting machine.
 
The new plant was inaugrated by Padmashree Prataprao Pawar and Rajeshkumar Sakla, CMD Siddhivinayak Group.
