24 May 2011

The Print Bazaar (TPB) has set up three units in Nehru Place, Naraina and Gurgaon in the Delhi / NCR region.

According to Anagha Kulkarni, the marketing communication manager at TPB: "We intend to have a fleet of 50 stores in 2011 – and have a plan of opening 500 units in the next three years."

The outlets offer numerous paper and substrate options and use the best technology. TPB is open to all good technologies and have partners like Konica Minolta, Xerox and Canon. TPB houses the latest licensed softwares.

Kulkarni added: "India is an attractive market for the print industry, but it is highly unorganised. These mostly include small street corner and family owned print shops. These vendors do not provide for standard commercial and costing system. TPB is an initiative launched to make printing convenient, accessible and affordable to all consumers, across categories."

TPB plans to have the largest digital print capacity in India by the end of this financial year. The unit plans to install offset and hire more than 300 employees in 2011.

Kulkarni said, "Through a network of stores, TPB will introduce print and imaging solutions to India’s high growth markets and provide print solutions to students and business houses."
