Alok Munot, director, Prabhat Printing Works, said, “The new photo cell technology in the perfect binder is effective as it helps in reducing the wastage during peak production. The photo cell technology ensures that each and every book is perfect.”

The new photo cell technology in Welbound’s perfect binding machine ensures that the cover of each book is properly glued. It also keep a check on the the cover feeder and warrants that the clamp does not miss out on the sections,  and stops the machine in case of emergency.

The Welbound perfect binding machine was inaugurated by social activist, Anna Hazare.

Established in 1944, Prabhat Printing Works has also invested in a two-colour refurbished Heidelberg offset press and since its installation in January 2012 has printed more than seven million sheets of paper.

Munot said, “we purchased this machine at a very competitive price. The machine is a year old model and has been well maintained by its previous owner.”

Alok Munot plans to visit Drupa and explore the options in the pre-press segment.
