This year, the convention will focus on bringing forth the knowledge and expertise that will help all constituents of the OOH industry – media-owning businesses, specialist agencies, suppliers and others – to board a higher growth trajectory.

To facilitate this, the convention will bring all key stakeholders of the industry, heads of media and brands active in the OOH space, civic authorities, as well as subject experts from other industries to discuss and deliberate upon the growth catalysts for the industry.

On day one, railway minister, Suresh Prabhu will deliver the keynote address, which will touch upon the new vistas that are opening up for the Indian OOH industry as the Central government directs sharp attention on the expansion and modernisation of the country’s infrastructure, including mass transportation networks.

Indian Railways is a prime mover in this direction. Prabhu has envisioned a grand plan for modernisation of the country’s rail network and services. And, to augment the railways’ revenues, Prabhu has set a goal of raising around Rs 9,000 crore through advertising and commercial contracts that will be given out to competent private players.

Meanwhile, the 11th Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) function will be held on 25 July 2015. This year, the criteria for nomination and selection of works for OAA have been made more stringent with the overriding objective of ensuring that the very best of outstanding OOH initiatives and works walk away with the top honours. Works that demonstrate innovation, out-of-the-box thinking, appropriate use of technology including digital technology, and environment-friendly practices will share the spotlight with most creative initiatives.

Like every year, OAC will also have an engaging exhibition where leading OOH players and solution providers will exhibit their capabilities and offerings. The expo will facilitate buyer-seller interactions.
